Located in the southwestern area of Hokkaido and within 90 minutes drive of Sapporo city or New Chitose Airport lies Rusutsu Resort.  Well renowned as a winter playground for ski and snowboard enthusiasts, Rusutsu is also a facinating place to visit during the summer months.

Rusutsu Resort consists of 2 large hotels (Nth/Sth Wing and Rusutsu Tower), an amusement park, a 72 hole golf course, a huge outdoor swimming pool, an indoor wave pool and more..

Rusutsu Amusement Park
Featuring over 60 attractions included in the one admission price, Rusutsu Resort's amusement park contains 8 rollercoasters, Go Karts, Jumbo Swimming Pool, Merry Go round, 4D Theater, Giant Ferris Wheel, Kids Land, Animal Land and much more!

Golf
Four 18 hole golf courses designed with the help of famous professional golfers surround the Rusutsu Resort Tower Hotel Area. As well as the four 18 hole courses there is also a 300 yard driving range with 23 lanes and a 9 hole night course. 

Pokemon Summer Extravaganza
Great fun for the kids including the inflatable Pikachu, Event Day Corner
and a host of attractions as well as Rustutsu Resorts's own Daniel Character Show. 

The Pokemon Summer Extravaganza runs between July 25 and Aug 30.
Rusutsu Resort also contains the Rusutsu branch of Pokemon with original
goods available for sale.

Great Moscow Circus  (July 25- Aug 30 Except Jul29, Aug 5th, 19th & 26th)
After entertaining more than 30,000 guests during the summer of 2008, the Great Moscow Circus is back again with an even better show. Fun for all ages.

Special Fireworks Display (Jul25 - Aug29)

Comencing nightly at 20:45, Rusutsu sets off 1,200 fireworks creating a collaboration of light, pictures and music. Fireworks displays are very popular in Japan,especially during the summer months. As Rusutsu Resort is set in natural surroundings the clarity of these particular fireworks are not to be missed!

 

Whitewater Rafting  (Late Apr - Mid Oct)
Paddle down the Shiribetsu River course in a raft controlled by your guide whilst enjoying fantastic views of Mt. Youtei and the natural surroundings. The summer course offers a gentle introduction to the thrills and excitement of white water rafting and can be enjoyed by all ages including beginners with no experience.

Canoeing (Early May - Late Oct)

Take a relaxing paddle down nearby Shiribetsu River in a Canadian canoe and see area of nature that cannot be accessed by foot.

Horseback Riding (Late Apr - Late Oct)
Fun for all ages including beginners, horseback riding is available within the premises of Rusutsu Resort and also at nearby Lake Toya for the more experienced.

Hot Air Balloon (Mid Jul - Late Aug)
A gentle introduction to Hot Air Balooning, the balloon rises 30m above the ground offering a tremendous view of the natural surroundings. Choose from early morning or late afternoon.
